“When my fiance first proposed in December 2017, I had no idea what sort of wedding I wanted and to be honest, it was overwhelming. I knew that we wanted to have a celebration with our family that was casual, understated yet effortlessly chic and elegant and madly started to hunt for a reception venue that met all the things that I wanted. To add to complexity, I had to find the location whilst living in another state. I knew that I needed some help!

This is when we came across Ten22 Boutique Venue, which had a beautiful open space, that really was a canvass for a bride to design the wedding that she has always had in mind and for the bride who needs some help (that’s me), plenty of experience to guide them through some of the best ways to use the space. It met all of our expectations and would allow us to have a reception that people felt welcomed, warm and comfortable at. We met with owners Nat and Dave (with such great support from Fran in Administration) mostly via Skype and phone and had guided tours throughout the space from over 3000km away.

During the planning stage, there really was nothing that Ten22 could not do, they provided great ideas for the space and really facilitated any request that we had. The attention to detail to provide all of our guests with an amazing experience, not just my husband and I, was second to none.

On the big day….

The day truly ran like clockwork with Ten22 coordinating all vendors and making sure that things were all in order. Upon arrival, the bridal party was sat into a private room to enjoy some champagne and nibbles, whilst our guests enjoyed generous tasting plates filled with high quality cheeses and canapes. We had two long tables, with a family style approach to the meal, opting to have tapas for entrée and paella for main. The paella. There are no words for how delicious it is and it was cooked in front of the guests which really added to a lively, engaging and casual atmosphere.

We had the best night and I would absolutely recommend this venue to any bride or for any event.  We would also shout out to St Louis Ice Creamery, who provided the amazing ice cream, Petals and Sage for the beautiful floristry and table décor, the sensational cake from the Bake Space, music by Jonny Lee Live and of course, all captured by Alex Kwong Photography.

To Nat and Dave, thank you for everything – this was truly the most special day and we could not have had a better way to start the rest of our lives together.

Love, Court and Sam

P.S. Seriously, what do you put in that paella?!”
