We have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to share this very special and totally unique wedding, and are thrilled to finally share it with you! Introducing: Jonno + Michelle.
As the world was thrown into chaos with the outbreak of COVID-19, the wedding industry was shattered as countless weddings had to be postponed, rearranged or cancelled altogether. Things began to take a turn for the worse in Australia and within days, everything changed.
With only a few days before Jonno and Michelle’s wedding, restrictions became tighter and they were no longer able to have their wedding in our venue. Outdoor events were still able to continue for that weekend, so we sprung into action to find a suitable outdoor space to host Jonno and Michelle and all of their guests.
We live on a property in the stunning Adelaide Hills and thought that just maybe we would be able to pull of a wedding at our home for Jonno and Michelle. We gave them a tour only three days before their big day and locked it in as their new venue. What a whirlwind the following days turned out to be!
Our entire team worked relentlessly to transform our backyard into a gorgeous reception space! We did countless trips to transport all of our styling items, decor and furniture and lighting from our South Road venue to our property in the hills. We created a makeshift bar, our signature grazing table, seating for the guests, a paella cooking station and a dance floor ready to party the night away! This was our last event before shutting down for a few months and what a way to send us off. Despite the last minute changes and the unexpected hiccups along the way, Jonno and Michelle’s wedding went off without a hitch and was full of laughter, fun, romance and of course… Delicious food!
At Ten22, we care so deeply for each of our beautiful couples and want nothing more than to provide them with the most memorable experience. We will always go above and beyond to ensure that no matter what, each of our couples feels valued, loved and supported every step of the way. Jonno and Michelle - thank you for trusting us to transform our home into your reception space. We feel so honoured and humbled to have been a part of creating this unique experience with you. “Hi Nat and Dave!
We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all you did for us for our wedding. We still cannot believe how perfectly it turned out, and we know that you two had a very major part in that!
The first time we walked into Ten22 we had some sort of feeling that it was the right place for our wedding. Looking back at the perfect day we had we realise that the feeling was not about the actual venue (although it is incredible), but it was about the owners.
You guys were so welcoming and helpful right from the start. But even then, we could never have imagined how far above and beyond you would go for your couples.
Obviously we had the absolute best time, but so many of our guests have also commented on how amazing our reception was, from the grazing table and the paella to the set-up and layout, to the fairy lights and the goats!
